Fellow Traveler Layout      Fellow Traveler is available for charter for two guests who are accommodated in the roomy aft stateroom. This stateroom can be set up as either a queen-size double or two twin bunks and has its own private bathroom with an tub and shower. Fellow Traveler can also accommodate two children in single bunks. Contact us for details if you are interested in a family charter.

The main saloon provides comfortable lounging and eating space for all while the ample galley is fully capable of turning out gourmet meals.

Her large, open decks provide plenty of space to lounge and sun, either at anchor or underway. Best of all, though, is the large, comfortable cockpit, where one can relax in the shade of the awning while enjoying the cooling breeze. Meals are typically served here in nice weather.

relaxing in the saloon Fellow Traveler has a swim ladder to allow swimming and snorkeling off the boat and an outside fresh-water shower for rinsing after swimming. Other amenities include a stereo with a large selection of music and an extensive library.

Smoking is not allowed in the cabin space on Fellow Traveler. Illegal drugs are never allowed aboard.

Meals

cooking in the galley      In addition to working in the charter trade, Captain Doug has many years in the food and beverage industry at some of the most exclusive hotels and resorts in the Caribbean and US. So rest assured he can provide drinks and meals that surprise and please you.

As we attempt to get away from the more traveled destinations, our meals also leave the heavily traveled routes and diverges into  the more exotic. Actual menus vary widely based on the preferences of the guests and the selection offered in the local markets, but typically include local dishes and seafood whenever possible.

The menu is geared to tropical living, and often includes fresh fruit at breakfast, with light, cold lunches during the heat of the day and a full dinner around sunset after the day has cooled down.

Fellow Traveler’s bar is stocked with a good selection of basic liquors and mixers, wines and cold beer included in the price of the charter. Of course, sampling the local offerings such as palm wine, the local rum, or kava can certainly be a memorable part of the trip.

For inspiration, here are some typical meals served aboard Fellow Traveler when ingredients are available:

Lobster Habanero ~ Chunks of lobster tail in a cream/sherry/rum sauce served over rice or pasta.

Horseradish-Crusted Tuna

Home-made Pizza

Mango or Banana Pancakes

Curried Chicken with Chayote

Breadfruit Oildown ~ Grenadian dish of breadfruit and other vegetables cooked in coconut milk.
